Mark Basil

Mark Basil is a musician, performer & songwriter. Born in the Great Northern Catskills.  Mark has made Beacon, NY his home, with his wife Sara, & daughter Wylie.

Mark has been writing & performing music for over 3 decades & studied Music Education at Ithaca College Music School.

Mark plays a wide range of music styles & genres, originals & covers, in acts that range from acoustic solo to full band ensembles, in multiple configurations. This includes The Mark Basil Band, Mara, The Funk Mafia, & S'OVA

Mark has performed at many music festivals, including Mountain Jam & Flyday, as well as on the air at WDST Woodstock Radio. He has headlined numerous regional venues & supported nationally touring acts. He recently joined the pit band for a fabulous production of the Rocky Horror Picture Show
